Team Members who have made a commitment to United Supermarkets, Market Street or Amigos are recognized for each five-year increment of service to the company.
Team Members who have gone above and beyond to offer Ultimate Service, demonstrate Superior Performance or make a Positive Impact are rewarded with Mission Statement Awards.
United is committed to providing assistance to Team Members pursuing the dream of a college education. To help facilitate this goal, we award a $1500 scholarship to six College Savings Plan participants each year.
For eligible Team Members, the bonus system is designed to pay coinciding with each trimester period. In addition, each December, full-time Team Members (excluding supervisors and above) receive a Christmas bonus equal to 10 percent of their weekly salary, times the number of full-time years worked, up to a maximum of one full week’s salary. Part-time Team Members will receive a Christmas bonus of a predetermined amount based upon length of service with the company.
It is important to us to recognize our Team Members for the hard work and effort they put in to making United a great place to work and a wonderful experience for our Guests to enjoy. Special events such as Team Member Appreciation Days, annual Christmas parties, and Free Fun Wear are ways in which we say thank you and give back just a small portion of what our Team Members bring to their roles daily.

You and the referred Team Member must be active and not a member of management to be eligible for the program. Half of the bonus is paid at the time the applicant is hired and begins work; the other half is paid after the new Team Member completes 120 days of employment. Every August, the program starts over, allowing you the opportunity to earn more money.
At United, we pride ourselves in designing a benefit package to include valuable health and welfare plans and a prevention strategy to promote healthy life choices. We also understand the importance of offering benefits quickly once our team members become eligible. If you are classified as a full-time team member working 32 or more hours per week, your coverage begins on the 1st of the month following 30 days of employment if you are newly eligible (new hire or newly promoted to full-time), or on January 1st if you waived benefits when first hired/promoted.
