Linda J. - Lubbock

My family has shopped at United my entire adult life. Our United is located at Brownfield and 29th Drive (#531, Lubbock). Your entire staff is wonderful, but one lady exceeds all the rest. She is a checker with the first name Linda (Malone). I realize you have many by this name. Her son (Robert Malone, a checker) also works at this location and is a school teacher. I always enjoyed her checking my groceries out because she is such a warm individual.
About 16 months ago I was diagnosed with cancer. I have had multiple surgeries as well as chemotherapy. While I was to ill to shop, my wonderful husband went to United every week as we have done for years. Linda never failed to ask him how I was and sent her prayers my way. I am still recuperating and don’t go every week now, but he goes when I can’t. I just want to add that if you have an employee recognition program, I would like for her to be honored. I have worked at University Medical Center for 24 years, and our culture is to recognize excellence such as Linda.
Thank you all so very much.

Shawn C. - Wichita Falls

I have shopped at this location (#521, Iowa Park Rd., Wichita Falls) on occasion and must say that every employee I have run into has been extremely courteous and helpful. This is very rare today, and I think they should be commended.
I can’t think of another place I see smiling faces every time I walk in. I particularly want to say that one gentleman, I believe his name is Carlos Castillo, has been extremely courteous to me every time I am there. I sincerely hope that all your stores are this well managed and hire these great people. Thanks so much.

Truman W. - Snyder

We are so blessed to have a United Supermarket in Snyder (#549). When I worked I would pass through Post about three times a week usually stopping for some groceries. Each time I would ask an employee to tell someone in Lubbock, “We need a United in Snyder.”
Our United is a very pleasant place to do business all the way from (Store Director) Tim McCullar to the kids who carry out the bags. The produce and deli is topnotch.
The pharmacy is staffed with the most reliable and courteous pharmacists that I have ever had to serve me. Robert and Maria Patterson are the best team of pharmacists I have done business with in my 86 years. They are the first pharmacists whom I never found an error of any kind with their prompt fillings of prescriptions or accurate refills.
You have a great store, because you have staffed it with the best people. Thank you.

Dave and Barbara B. - Colleyville

One of the reasons we are faithful Market Street (#560) shoppers is the positive attitude of your associates: uniformly knowledgeable, proud of the wide product selection, and sincerely interested in customer satisfaction.

Among them, three seem especially so: Charlie at the coffee bar, Joe in the deli, and Laurie in the cheese/prepared food. With people like these, shopping with you seems more like the pleasure of seeing old friends than just another chore that needs doing.

We just wanted to reaffirm the positive impact helpful employees can have on customers. Yours certainly do, and these three in particular. You can be proud of them all!

Patricia - Amarillo

I am writing to say thank you to you and your company. I came home and there was a present from my United (#524, I-40 & Grand, Amarillo) and the tears started to flood down my face.
(Store Director) Raymond (Gaitan) at the store had an employee deliver gifts for my two children, and he gave my family a gift card for groceries. He said that an anonymous letter was sent detailing the hard time my family is having this year. Thank you to the United angels!
I have shopped at this United for the last 16 years and have never been disappointed with the staff. I don’t know who sent you that letter or how they knew that we were not going to have Christmas, but thank you again.
Bless you and everyone at United and especially at my United!.

Sharon M. - Mineral Wells

My 21 year old son, Cody Green, was killed while working for Granite Construction in Lubbock, Texas on 10/31/06. I wanted to do something to show my appreciation to Granite Construction for all they have done for me and my family during the loss of Cody.
I live in Mineral Wells, Texas, so I called Irma in the bakery at United Supermarkets in Lubbock. I told her my situation and asked her if I could order cookies & have them delivered to Granite Construction there in Lubbock. She gladly offered to fix up 7 dozen assorted cookies and deliver them to Granite's office on 19th Street.
I think she went above and beyond her job to do this great favor for me and I think she should be recognized for her efforts. Thank you
