Donation Guidelines
Types of Donations
- Merchandise - Each of United's 46 store locations makes merchandise donations. The Store Director will review the completed Donation Request Form and determine whether or not the request will be approved. Approved requests usually range from $10-$30 in merchandise or gift cards; however, through special arrangements, merchandise donations of higher amounts occasionally may be approved by Store Directors.
If the request exceeds the amount a single store may approve, or requires special arrangements, the form will be forwarded to the Regional Office or Store Support Center for processing. In any case, the person making the request will be notified whether or not the request has been approved and, if so, where to pick up the merchandise. - Cash - For all cash donations and sponsorship requests of more than $30, a completed Donation Request Form, with supporting documentation, should be sent to the appropriate Regional Office.
- Sports Team/Goodwill-Program Advertising - If the request is primarily for the purchase of advertising space in a program or other printed material, or sponsorship of a youth league or high school sports team, please complete the Donation Request Form and give it to your Store Director, who will forward it to our Marketing Department for approval and artwork.
- UCrew Volunteers - Requests for volunteer assistance through United's UCrew program may be made at any store location. As is the case with other types of requests for assistance, UCrew requests should be made three weeks before the date of the event, to provide ample time for processing and volunteer coordination.
