Market Street Rolls Out Red Carpet for
Coppell-Lewisville Store’s Grand Opening

COPPELL, TX (Special) - When value-priced foods, gourmet ingredients and healthy snacks are what you fancy, North Texas shoppers will find nothing better than the newest Market Street Coppell-Lewisville store. United Supermarkets’ world-class food concept store, located at 700 N. Denton Tap Road in Coppell, opens its doors at 6 a.m. today, followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8:30 a.m. The 70,000 square-foot store features an in-store health care clinic, drive-thru pharmacy, sushi bar and “A Taste of Market Street” – a mini-version of Market Street found within the confines of the parking lot and designed for quick access and convenience, complete with fuel station, bakery, gourmet meals to go, fresh produce and many other items found inside the main store.

Additionally, the Market Street Coppell-Lewisville grand opening serves as an introduction to the supermarket chain’s new Nutritional Tag Program, making it easier for Market Street guests to live a healthier lifestyle in 2009. Designed by Market Street’s own dietitians, the labeling system will help guide guests in making food decisions to improve health as well as manage or prevent disease. Market Street DFW Nutritionist Alicia Brown also will be on-hand to illustrate the new program and provide complimentary shopping assistance to guests wanting to develop healthier eating habits without expanding their food budgets.

Market Street is a unique market that combines the everyday groceries store guests need with the specialty items, whole-health/gourmet products and pre-prepared foods they want. The first store opened in Wichita Falls in 1998, and other stores followed in Amarillo and Lubbock. Market Street now has five DFW stores located in Frisco, Allen, McKinney, Colleyville and Coppell-Lewisville.

Coppell-Lewisville is the third Market Street location to open in the Metroplex within the past year, bringing more than 1,200 job opportunities to the North Texas area. Market Street Plano, currently under construction at W. Park Blvd. and Preston Road, is tentatively scheduled to open in April 2009.

On Saturday, Market Street’s Family Fun Day will highlight the Coppell-Lewisville store’s grand opening. In addition to the Radio Disney promotions and live music in Peet’s Coffee Shop, Disney star and former North Texas teen actress Debby Ryan (The Suite Life on Deck) will make a guest appearance from 2 to 4 p.m.. Throughout the two-week grand opening celebration, Market Street guests may enter to win a 42-inch TV, Market Street gift cards, portable media players, Disney World family vacation and many other prizes.

“With the Coppell and Lewisville communities whole-heartedly welcoming Market Street to the area, we’re doing our part to say, ‘howdy,’” said Curtis Comer, store director at Coppell-Lewisville’s Market Street. “Our grand opening celebration is the perfect time for North Texans to experience what other Market Street guests in other communities have come to expect from their neighborhood grocery store.”
