Market Street Introduces Entertaining Expo
For Future Hosts, Hostesses

‘Entertaining Made Easy’ events feature tips, tricks and treats for every celebration

LUBBOCK, TX – As a fitting welcome to the holiday party season, Market Street will help its guests learn the latest tips and tricks for hosting holiday, cocktail and corporate functions with the “Entertaining Made Easy Expo.”

Aspiring hosts and hostesses will sample party dishes from appetizers and hors d'ouvres to entrées and desserts, while enjoying complimentary wine tastings and experiencing modern ideas for floral arrangements and gift baskets as they fulfill their regular grocery shopping needs at any of Market Street’s 10 locations in north and west Texas.

Hours for the event are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, and Sunday, Nov. 7.

“At Market Street, we understand how much our guests enjoy hosting memorable gatherings for friends and family, and we love to be a part of any celebration,” said Wes Jackson, chief merchandising officer for United Supermarkets, LLC, Market Street’s parent company. “With the holidays right around the corner, we want to showcase our entertainment services and how we can help ease the burden of event planning while also sharing in the fun with our guests and their families.”

At the expo, guests can expect samplings and products such as:

  • Petite sandwiches, salmon, garlic rosemary tenderloin and antipasto gourmet party platters,
  • Market Street’s signature green chile cheddar, blue cheese walnut and smoked gouda scallion cheese balls,
  • Wine pairings with Canadian cheddar, parrano and baked brie cheese varieties,
  • Callebaut dark, milk and white chocolates as well as holiday candies,
  • Honey-crusted spiral ham, jalapeno turkey and prime rib roast samples along with preparation and seasoning tips from Executive Chef Chris Wilson,
  • Southern staple dishes including cornbread dressing with gravy, praline sweet potatoes and cranberry relish,
  • Pre-prepared quiches and fresh stratas for the perfect no-fuss holiday breakfast,
  • And traditional Texas dessert favorites like apple, cherry, pecan and pumpkin pies.

“The holiday season can already be stressful without the additional concerns of entertaining,” Jackson said. “From online catering and floral services, pre-prepared fresh food items and gourmet ingredients to knowledgeable beer and wine stewards as well as experienced party-planning team members, Market Street provides every resource to help make our guests’ entertaining experiences a breeze by allowing them to focus on the memories they’re creating for friends and family rather than organizational hassles.”
