With ‘Free Turkey Promotion,’ United Guests
Earn a Free Turkey with $100 Purchase

LUBBOCK, Texas (Oct. 28, 2009) - United Supermarkets, Market Street and Amigos United stores are helping their communities get into the holiday spirit by offering guests a free turkey with a $100 purchase between Nov. 1 and Nov. 25.

United guests spending $100 or more during a single visit will receive one coupon for a free Traditions-brand turkey of their choice.

After the in-store purchase exceeds $100, United team members will print a “Free Turkey” coupon at the register. Guests may redeem the coupon at the time of their purchase or during a subsequent visit to any United, Market Street or Amigos United store. While there’s no limit to the number of turkeys guests may receive, all coupons must be redeemed by Nov. 29.

“As wonderful as the holiday season is, it can sometimes be a little stressful, trying to make everything special while being careful about how much you spend. So at United, we thought we’d try to help,” said Dan Sanders, CEO of United Supermarkets LLC. “The free turkey is just one small way we can say ‘thank you’ to our guests and let them know how appreciative we are that they chose United.”

United also encourages guests that accumulate multiple turkeys to pass along the holiday spirit and donate their extras to friends, neighbors or local food banks.

For complete rules and details, stop by one of United’s 50 locations or visit www.unitedtexas.com.
