Breast Cancer with ‘Motor Through Pinktober’
Guests can help raise money for breast cancer research by shopping at United stores
LUBBOCK, Texas (Oct. 2, 2009) - United Supermarkets, Market Street and Amigos United, along with their grocery partners, have joined the fight against breast cancer this month with United’s “Motor Through Pinktober” promotion, going on now through Oct. 31.
United invites all of its guests to help raise money for breast cancer research by purchasing specially marked products throughout the store from grocery partners that have agreed to donate a percentage of the proceeds or a flat donation amount to support breast cancer research and awareness.
To coincide with the promotion, United’s stores are selling stylish Pinktober reusable bags with a percentage of the proceeds going to Susan G. Komen for the Cure and other organizations working to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures for breast cancer. Two fashionable pink bags can be purchased for $3 at all 50 United locations while supplies last.
Additionally, each United location is giving away a pink Retro Lance® Moped Scooter. Guests can stop by their nearest United Supermarkets, Market Street or Amigos United store and enter for a chance to win the pink scooter, courtesy of United, P&G and Coca-Cola.
