Market Street’s Road to Riches Summer Game Gives
Guests Chance to Win More Than $3 Million in Prizes

North Texans have opportunity to win $1 million grand prize, vintage car, free groceries

FRISCO, Texas (May 27, 2009) - In celebration of summer, Market Street kicks off the warm weather season with its United Texas Road to Riches Collect and Win Game.

Market Street, United Supermarket’s all-in-one grocery store, offers North Texans the chance to win more than $3 million in its annual in-store game running now through Aug. 13. This year’s summer game offers three “routes” to prizes, giving guests multiple ways to win millions in cash and prizes.

Some of the top prizes in this year’s United Texas Road to Riches Collect and Win Game include a vintage car valued at $100,000, a 2009 Ford Escape Hybrid, Sea-Doos®, free groceries and fuel for a year, a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, vacation packages and a grand prize of $1 million.

“The United Texas Road to Riches Collect and Win Game adds excitement to your everyday shopping experience,” said Randy Crimmins, vice president of marketing for United Supermarkets, LLC. “During these summer months, Market Street guests have the chance to win some amazing prizes and special discounts every time they shop.

“With families opting for ‘stay-cations’ and other cost-saving entertainment, this is our way of adding value to the Market Street shopping experience and hopefully making this summer memorable for all of our guests.”

Road to Riches is divided into three individual routes to prizes - collect and win, sweepstakes and Internet games.

In Route One’s game, Collect and Win, guests receive Mile Marker Game Tickets every time they shop at United Supermarkets, Market Street and Amigos United stores until Aug. 13. Guests open the game tickets to reveal special coupons or a free product, along with the Collect and Win Mile Markers. Guests add and match the individual Mile Markers to the available spaces inside the gaming booklet for the chance to win from the fabulous assortment of prizes, including the $1 million grand prize.

Route Two is the Texas Road to Riches Sweepstakes. Guests can attach any 10 Mile Markers to a Road Rally postcard, available at any United location, or an index card and mail entries for a chance to win an additional $250,000 in cash prizes. In late August, eight lucky Sweepstakes winners will get the chance to take part in the Big Riches Road Rally at the Market Street store in Plano, Texas. At the rally, a total of $200,000 in cash prizes will be presented, including a grand prize of $100,000.

Route Three is the Road to Riches Internet Game. All Mile Marker Game Tickets contain a unique Internet code that enables participants to go to the Market Street Web site (www.marketstreetunited.com) for the chance to win more exciting prizes. Internet Game participants have the chance to win up to $335,000 in prizes.

“We’re giving Market Street guests plenty of ways to take home some incredible prizes this summer,” Crimmins said. “We encourage everyone to take advantage of all three ways to win - ‘Road to Riches’ should make for a great summer in our stores.”
